How often do you service lawns?
Most lawns are serviced once or twice per week, depending on the season and the lawn’s needs. Frequency is discussed and adjusted as needed throughout the year.
Do you perform the same services at every visit?
Not necessarily. Mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing are all part of ongoing care, but the specific work performed at each visit depends on how often the property is serviced and what the lawn needs that day. This approach avoids unnecessary repetition while ensuring consistent results over time.
What services are included?
All properties receive regular mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing. Additional services can be discussed as the lawn’s needs become clear and as desired by the homeowner.
Do you offer one-time mowing or short-term service?
No. Green Standard is focused on ongoing care and long-term relationships with clients.
Who will be working on my lawn?
All work is performed by me, the owner.
What areas do you serve?
I primarily serve select neighborhoods within Kansas City, Missouri. Brookside , Coleman Highlands, Crestwood, Hyde Park, Roanoke, Valentine, and Westwood are some of the areas that you may see me in. Availability depends on location and seasonal capacity.
Why did I receive a handwritten card from you?
I occasionally send handwritten cards to new homeowners and neighbors in areas where I’m already working. It’s a simple way to welcome you to the neighborhood and introduce myself.
Because I focus on a small number of properties within each area I serve, reaching out personally allows me to connect with nearby homeowners who might appreciate a more attentive, relationship-based approach to lawn care.

Why can’t I find Green Standard on Google?
Green Standard is intentionally kept small and neighborhood-based. I work with a limited number of properties in the areas I serve, and most clients come through referrals or homeowners who receive an introduction from me directly.
Because of that, I don’t actively participate in online review platforms. Instead, my focus is on providing consistent, long-term care for the properties I maintain and building relationships with the homeowners I work with.
What type of equipment do you use?
I use professional-grade, commercial lawn equipment selected for cut quality and lawn health rather than high speed. All mowing is done with a high-quality commercial walk behind self propelled mower.
This approach minimizes turf damage, reduces soil compaction, and allows for greater control around edges, slopes, and established lawns. It’s a deliberate choice that prioritizes long-term lawn quality over speed or volume.
How does pricing, billing, and service agreements work?
Every property is a little different, so pricing depends on the size of the lawn and what you’d like taken care of. My goal is always to keep pricing fair for the level of care and attention each property receives.
I don’t use long-term contracts. Instead, we use a simple seasonal service agreement that outlines what services are included and what both of us can expect during the season. Agreements can be ended at any time with 30 days’ notice.
Billing is monthly and handled through a simple online system that accepts all major credit cards. I also accept cash and even checks after we have an established relationship.
Are you insured?
Yes. Appropriate insurance is carried for residential lawn care services.
